About Adjust the Sails for 2e Students

Adjust the Sails for 2e Students introduces participants to an informed approach to learning for this unique group within the gifted population. It introduces research-based classroom strategies that can address the learning needs of twice-exceptional (2e) students and bring about a more positive experience for both students and teachers. In alignment with the research around a collaborative team approach to twice-exceptionality, the course also explores guidance that schools can provide to parents as they support their 2e child in negotiating the complexities that learning involves.

Adjust the Sails for 2e Students is an online course developed by G&t4you Pty Ltd, t/as Gifted Online. The course is 2.5 hours in duration. Each module may consist of any of the following: learning content, quizzes and optional self-reflection tasks.

Context: As outlined in the Australian Teaching Standards (2022), it is every teacher’s responsibility to know students and how they learn, including those who are twice-exceptional, and to support their participation in learning through differentiation.  By completing the online course, Adjust the Sails for 2e Students,  participants  demonstrate an active intention to take responsibility for improving their teaching through professional development, in order to better understand, and effectively support these complex students in their learning.
